During her remarks commissioner, Lisa Cupid said about the organization: “Ser Familia provides programming that promotes strong families by focusing on communication skills and healthy life decisions. Their volunteers donate more than 20,000 hours per year, enabling Ser Familia to serve more than 3,000 clients per year”

Ser Familia’s executive director emphasized the need for programs targeted to Latino families and especially youth,  “We are very concerned about the well being of Latino youth in Cobb County. They are presenting higher levels of anxiety, depression and hopelessness than almost any other demographic group in the nation. They are OUR kids! We have to work together to support these kids or we will have a community crisis in the near future”

Ser Familia thanks Commissioner Cupid and the entire Cobb County Board of Commissioners for this important recognition.
