Cobb2020 will be participating in two great community events this month – the Cobb Chamber Health Care Summit on October, 21, 2013 and the Radio Disney TRYathlon Event at Kennesaw State University’s Owl ‘o Ween Event on Oct 26, 2013. These events celebrate Cobb2020’s one-year anniversary from its kick-off event, The Weight is Over…. A Healthier Cobb Starts NOW!, at the Strand Theatre which focused on raising awareness on the issue of obesity in Cobb County.

Over the past year, Cobb2020 has been very active in developing health initiatives to continue the momentum and support gained from community partners at the kick-off event. As a way to share accomplishments, educate the public and interact with the community, Cobb2020 will participate at the following events:

Additionally, Dr. Jack Kennedy, Cobb2020 vice chair and District Health Director for Cobb & Douglas Public Health, will be featured as a panelist and address the importance of integrating wellness initiatives into the workplace.
